BublTalkPrivacy Policy

BublTalk is built for children, so privacy comes first. This policy explains, in plain language, what we do, and more importantly what we don't do, with information.
The short version
- We do not upload, store, or sell your child's photos or recordings.
- We do not build advertising or behavioral profiles of children.
- We do not include third-party advertising SDKs.
- Custom cards, photos, and your child's vocabulary stay on your device.

Children's privacy (COPPA)
BublTalk is designed for use by young children under the supervision of a parent, caregiver, or therapist. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not ask children for names, contact details, or any identifying information.
Account setup, settings, and any personal details are handled by an adult in a parent-controlled area of the app.
What stays on your device
The following never leaves your iPad unless you explicitly choose to share it:
- Photos you add to cards.
- Your child's name, profile, and onboarding answers.
- Your child's vocabulary and usage history used to show progress.
What we may process
To make certain features work, limited, non-identifying data may be sent to service providers:
- Speech. When a word is spoken aloud, the text of that word may be sent to a text-to-speech provider to generate audio. Generated audio is cached on your device.
- Card images. If you choose to generate or look up a card image, the word you typed may be sent to an image provider. We do not send your child's photos for this.
- Basic, anonymous app diagnostics. Crash and performance data that contains no personal information, used only to keep the app stable.
These providers act on our behalf and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes.
What we don't do
- No selling or renting of data, ever.
- No advertising networks or ad tracking.
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- No microphone recording of your child.
Email you give us
If you join our waitlist or contact us, we use your email only to reply or to tell you about BublTalk. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing legal@bubltalk.com.
Your choices
Because most data lives on your device, deleting the app removes it. You may also contact us to request deletion of any information we hold.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app or on this page.
